Festivalul de Operă și Operetă presents an open-air production of the classic musical My Fair Lady by Frederick Loewe at the Summer Theater in Rose Park. The story follows Eliza Doolittle, a flower girl from the London slums, who becomes the subject of a bet by phonetics professor Henry Higgins, who claims he can pass her off as a duchess. This 21st edition production features the full chorus, orchestra, and ballet ensemble of the Romanian National Opera Timișoara. The performance is conducted by Szabolcs Hermann and directed by Marina Emandi Tiron. The show is performed in Romanian, includes two intermissions, and is recommended for ages 6 and up.
