Wayne Marshall is a world-renowned British conductor, organist, and pianist celebrated for his musical versatility and command of the keyboard. He has served as Chief Conductor of the WDR Funkhausorchester in Cologne and Principal Guest Conductor of the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi. Marshall is particularly acclaimed for his interpretations of works by George Gershwin and Leonard Bernstein, along with other 20th-century American composers. His extensive career includes conducting Bernstein's Candide and Mass, as well as numerous productions of Porgy and Bess across major international opera houses in Paris, Washington, and Vienna.
