Amadeo Bonaiuto Quartet
Amadeo Bonaiuto is an Argentine trumpeter who lives in Berlin. He studied at the Escuela Superior de Musica de Neuquen, where he later taught classes and masterclasses for more than ten years. He also worked with the Confluencia school orchestras, in this case as a trumpet teacher in the poorest slums. In the classical music world, he served as principal trumpet of the Rio Negro Philharmonic Orchestra and as a guest artist with the Neuquen Symphony Orchestra. His research work as a teacher and student led him to write two books and travel throughout Latin America to present his own music and give masterclasses in trumpet and improvisation at renowned institutions. In Berlin, he currently performs with the Composer Orchestra Berlin (an ensemble in which all members are composers) and as a freelancer in various groups. With his project Amadeo Bonaiuto Quartet, he is developing a sound based on the fusion of jazz and folkloric rhythms from Argentina and South America, such as the chacarera and zamba.
