Breaks: A Solo Performance by Jessica Cook

Jessica Cook presents her Roulette Commission, Breaks, a physical exploration of nonsense-making through fragmentation, the compression of sound, and movement scores. The solo work utilizes improvisation scores that splice and isolate various textures, combined with custom-built sound costumes and experimental objects created by the artist. A choreographer based in Brooklyn for over twenty years, Cook blends movement with sculptural elements and the physicality of sound to create absurdist performance environments.
