A nostalgic, underground madchester night.
An evening of conversation and music exploring the musical explosion between 1978 and 1984, featuring Justin Robertson and Andy Crysell, hosted by Rory Natkiel as part of the Wanstead Fringe community arts festival. The conversation examines how post-punk, new wave, ska, electro, hip hop, techno, and proto-house erupted simultaneously and formed the foundations of modern popular music. Following the discussion, Justin Robertson and Rory Natkiel take over the decks for a DJ set featuring music from the era and beyond.
