Brooklyn’s Super Yamba Band draws inspiration from 70s and 80s West-African Afrobeat and Psychedelic Funk. Their sound pays tribute to legendary artists like Orchestre Poly-Rythmo, Super Djata Band, Ebo Taylor, and Fela Kuti. The group is known for regular collaborations with Afrobeat and Juju guitarist/singer Leon Ligan-Majek (aka Kaleta), along with artists such as Osei Korankye, Ismael Kouyate, and Mamadou Mbengue.
