JILL YAN

The Jill Yan group started around 1999, I could qualify my music as «Rock-Fusion Instrumental» or, like suggested by a commentary on YouTube, as «Alien Rock». I released nine album since then and played gigs in Europe. I usually play as a trio, bass, drums and guitar. My influences could go from Allan «GOD» Holdsworth, Strapping Young Lad, Chick Corea, Deftones, Steve Vai, hardcore bands, traditional flamenco and arabic and ethnic music and so many others, but, anyway, the rules, either when I compose or play is : there is no rules. In fact, I just play what I want without compromising and I believe that the music I play is like I’m. The most important is to remember music is just a way to share emotions, so this is what I’m trying to do, to be myself and to share whatever I have to share.
