Jackies, the well-known Barcelona House Music party and record label, will join forces with Louie Vega, a Grammy winner, to co-produce a Boat Party at Amsterdam Dance Event 2025. It will be a very special event where the maestro will perform an open-to-close set. Expect the authentic "New York flavor” at this unique and intimate event. On the room 2 we will enjoy a set from Piem, our Jackies resident. Get ready to sail the waters of Amsterdam to the rhythm of House Music. It will be an evening event from 7:30 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. on the Supperclub boat, with a capacity limited to 400 people. Many people wonder where the name Jackies comes from. Well, “Jackies” is derived from the phrase “Jack Your Body.” This phrase became popular with the song “Jack Your Body” by Steve “Silk” Hurley, released in 1986. This track is one of the first hits in house music and was pioneering in introducing the word “Jack” as a fundamental term in the language of this genre. In house music, “Jack” refers to the characteristic dance style and the physical sensation of moving to the rhythm of the music. The song was a hit in Chicago’s nightclubs and soon after in Europe, where it reached number one in the UK in 1987.
