Westbound

Westbound is a movement defined by direction rather than arrival. Rooted in the idea of moving westward, toward the horizon and the setting sun, it stands for freedom, openness and continuous motion. Connecting Amsterdam and San Francisco through the waves of ebb and flow, Westbound brings two west coasts together in a shared rhythm of tension and release. Different shores shaped by culture, movement and history, united by the same wave and a shared love for West Coast–influenced house music, moving like the tide. Hosted by Galen & Melon, two selectors shaped by years of dancefloor culture on opposite west coasts. Galen emerging from San Francisco’s open-air, sound system–driven tradition, and Melon from Amsterdam’s deep club heritage. For the first edition, we welcome Daan Donk, the man behind Likeminded and Tale of Bus, and a respected selector and dedicated record collector. Known for his deep vinyl knowledge, trippy old-school house, broken beats and left-field selections. Rooted in DIY culture, off-location parties and an uncompromising love for sound, setting and community, his selections are driven by passion, curiosity and years of digging beyond the obvious.
