Join Barbatuques for an advanced body music workshop focused on rhythmic complexity and collective compositional creation. This practical and collaborative experience explores the group's unique aesthetic and pedagogical approach, which uses the human body as a musical instrument. Participants will delve into expanded vocabulary, including facial and oral percussion, and develop rhythmic independence through advanced psychomotor coordination exercises. Founded by Fernando Barba, Barbatuques is a pioneering Brazilian percussion group recognized globally for blending traditional rhythms with contemporary styles through body percussion and voice. The workshop is designed for musicians, dancers, and educators with prior knowledge of body percussion, providing tools for creativity and team building through rhythm.
