A key figure on the London jazz scene, Mathod has earned a reputation as both a compelling bandleader and one of the UK's most in-demand session musicians, performing with artists including Stormzy, Jordan Rakei, Alex Isley and Julian Joseph. Drawing on the influence of Miles Davis, Roy Hargrove and Christian Scott, Mirage marks the next chapter in Jackson's musical journey, expanding his sound into more psychedelic territory inspired by artists such as Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Buckley. Combining virtuosic musicianship, infectious grooves and adventurous improvisation, the new material showcases a distinctive artist continuing to push his music in exciting new directions.
