Ο Ζουλιέν και η ερωμένη του, Φλοράνς, σχεδιάζουν το τέλειο έγκλημα για να βγάλουν από τη μέση το σύζυγο της Φλοράνς που είναι ταυτόχρονα και το αφεντικό του Ζουλιέν. Κάτι όμως πάει στραβά στο σχέδιό τους και μπορεί ο σύζυγος να είναι νεκρός, ο Ζουλιέν όμως εγκλωβίζεται σε ένα ασανσέρ, με την Φλοράνς να αγνοεί τις εξελίξεις . Από εκεί και πέρα μία σειρά συγκυριών ανατρέπει τα πάντα.
