Faravaz returns to SO36 for the release show of her new EP Saffron. The Iranian-born singer, songwriter, and activist grew up in Tehran, where her musical career led to her arrest before she eventually fled to Berlin. Her performance blends alternative pop and R&B with Iranian and Middle Eastern influences, delivering a political and sensual experience sung in English. The Berlin show marks the peak of the Saffron Tour and features her first full-length live presentation of the new EP on stage, accompanied by her band and special guests. Following her debut album Azadi and the collective EP Butterfly, this performance emphasizes the right to sing and self-determination.
