The Automatic
The Automatic are a Welsh electro-punk quartet formed in Cardiff in 2003. Originally consisting of Robin Hawkins, James Frost, Alex Pennie, and Iwan Griffiths, the band rose to prominence with their hit single Monster, which reached the UK Top Five in 2006. Their debut album, Not Accepted Anywhere, was a critical and commercial success. After a line-up change in 2007, the group recorded their second album, This Is A Fix, with producer Butch Walker in Los Angeles. They followed this with Tear The Signs Down in 2010 before taking a hiatus to focus on individual projects.
