Les Musiciennes du Concert des Nations / La Capella Reial de Catalunya

Jordi Savall conducts an all-female cast, bringing together the soloists and instrumentalists of Le Concert des Nations in a tribute to the musicians of the Ospedale della Pietà. The program features Vivaldi's religious works, including the famous Gloria, alongside instrumental concertos including RV 286 and the second concerto from the collection La stravaganza. This modern revival of the 18th-century Venetian tradition creates an exclusively female space for study and musical excellence, drawing from the vast production Vivaldi composed during his tenure at the orphanage between 1703 and 1740.
