Vokal Ensemble Batumi: Georgische Stimmen zu Gast in Berlin

To mark its 35th anniversary, the Batumi Vocal Ensemble, the state choir of the Georgian region of Adjara, presents a unique concert at Berlin's St. Matthew's Church. The program features traditional Georgian chants and 20th-century songs alongside arrangements of works by German composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach and Franz Schubert. The performance offers insight into Georgian polyphony, one of the world's oldest choral traditions and a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. The evening explores the rich cultural diversity of Georgia through songs of love, nature, and community.
