BILLY COBHAM QUINTET

Billy Cobham is considered one of the most important and influential figures in the history of jazz fusion. With explosive energy and unparalleled technique, he has left an indelible mark on the modern music scene. A co-founder of the legendary Mahavishnu Orchestra with John McLaughlin, Cobham has collaborated with jazz greats such as Miles Davis, Stanley Clarke, and Chick Corea. His landmark solo album 'Spectrum' (1973) remains a reference point for jazz fusion, with the iconic track 'Stratus' notably sampled by Massive Attack for 'Safe From Harm'. For this special performance as part of the 61st Dimitria Festival, the drum legend is joined by a quintet of distinguished musicians, including keyboardist Gary Husband and guitarist Rocco Zifarelli, promising a musical experience filled with virtuosity and authentic jazz fusion.
