Fun Horns 40: Remembering Miles

In 2026, the East Berlin-founded brass ensemble Fun Horns celebrates its 40th anniversary with a special tribute to Miles Davis' 100th birthday. The program focuses on the iconic album 'Kind of Blue', reimagining its stylistic and emotional depth through the lens of a chamber music improvising brass quartet. This performance offers an independent and respectful version of the 20th-century masterpiece, characterized by the same openness and revolutionary spirit that defined the original. Since forming in 1986, the Fun Horns have evolved from a studio section into a unique live concept without a rhythm group, touring worldwide and releasing over 12 CDs.
