The grand finale of the National Cello Competition 2026 is the crowning event of the Cello Biennale. Three finalists will perform Shostakovich's Cello Concerto No. 1, a masterpiece that demands both extreme virtuosity and intense emotional range, shifting from deep melancholy to fierce rage. They are accompanied by the CvA Symphony Orchestra in this decisive performance to determine the competition winner. The evening concludes with an award ceremony following the performances.
