A winner of two Latin Grammy Awards and the Brazilian Music Award 16 times, Elba has remained one of the country's greatest singers for 40 years. More than just a vocalist, she is a storyteller who uses her music to reveal the beautiful soundscapes of Brazil and its people. A legitimate representative of Northeastern rhythms, Elba's career was launched through Chico Buarque and she has performed alongside legends such as Luiz Gonzaga, Jackson do Pandeiro, and Dominguinhos. This performance at Islington Assembly Hall celebrates four decades of her remarkable career.
