Mocky presents his legendary Los Angeles residency in Berlin. Inspired by his latest album 'Music Will Explain'—a work that celebrates the human voice through analog recording and choral arrangements—this event series promises a fusion of concert and improvisation. Expect a blend of soul, jazz, funk, and hip-hop brought to life by an international band, featuring special guests from Mocky's extensive network of collaborators. This bi-monthly residency brings a touch of California sunshine to the Gretchen club stage. Mocky is a multi-talented songwriter and producer known for his work with artists like Feist, Vulfpeck, and Kelela. His creative practice focuses on authentic interaction and spontaneous session-based music, avoiding the sterility of purely digital production.
