Νοσταλγική βραδιά classical
A performance exploring the theme of fate and resolution through Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5. The work, characterized by its iconic four-note motif, was composed over four years as Beethoven faced severe hearing loss. This dark and radical symphony journeyed from tension to a blazing finale, redefining the symphonic form. The programme also features Florence Price’s Adoration and Mendelssohn’s spirited Concerto for Violin and Piano, presenting three distinct ways composers find expression in their music.
