Underground, νοσταλγικός καλλιτέχνης darkwave
The Funeral Warehouse is a post-punk trio that has been touring Paris for nearly eight years. The project was initiated by singer/guitarist Sébastien D., who produced his first solo compositions as a tribute to the British cold wave of the late 70s. His meeting with bassist Aurélien J. confirmed the group's musical roots, while adding a shoegaze sound. The Funeral Warehouse's wall of sound was finally completed a few months later with the addition of Rodolphe G.'s drums, giving access to the live sessions that made the trio's reputation. After five years' work, they finally deliver their first LP, "HOURS & DAYS", whose 10 tracks allow you to be carried away by the band's multiple musical facets: from the primal rage of Miles Away to the heady Can't See Why, The Funeral Warehouse like to plant a macabre, cold universe in which the listener is carried along to the rhythm of intense, voluptuous waves of sound.
The Funeral Warehouse plays a blend of post-punk, gothic rock, and coldwave, incorporating shoegaze elements and drawing inspiration from late 1970s British cold wave. Their sound is characterized by dark, atmospheric melodies and intense rhythms.
The Funeral Warehouse is a trio consisting of Sébastien D. on vocals and guitar, Aurélien J. on bass, and Rodolphe G. on drums.
