Stygian Crown

Stygian Crown formed in 2018 with a mission to celebrate epic doom in the vein of Candlemass, Solitude Aeturnus and Black Sabbath. With a lineup consisting of members of Morgion, Gravehill and Morbid Eclipse, the music strikes a unique balance of doom and death metal - a sound some have called "Candlethrower" in reference to Candlemass and Bolt Thrower. The band signed with Cruz Del Sur Music in January 2020 and released its self-titled debut that summer. The band released its second album, "Funeral for a King," in February 2024. Stygian Crown has played numerous major festivals including Germany's Hammer of Doom and Hell Over Hammaburg, Legions of Metal in Chicago, LA Gates of Metal, the San Diego Metal Swap Meet, Up the Hammers in Athens, Greece as well as Hell's Heroes in Houston, Texas. Members are: Melissa Pinion, vocals; Rhett Davis, drums; Nelson Miranda, guitar; Andy Hicks, guitar; Eric Bryan, bass.
