Pursued by a Memory

Pursued by a Memory is an NYC based indie-folk duo forged through a shared passion for storytelling through music and Red Dead Redemption 2. Vocalist Mia Rose and guitarist Alex Lalli first met in late 2020 during their senior year of high school when they played together in an alternative rock band. From those early jam sessions to studying jazz performance at the same college, they continued to influence each other’s tastes and collaborate through songwriting. When Alex shared a new acoustic song of his with Mia in early 2023, their collaboration came easier than ever and the inspiration to form a band arose. Inspired by artists like the Avett Brothers, Adrianne Lenker, and Watchhouse, Pursued by a Memory explores themes of loss, love, guilt, and growth. The duo has spent the past two years creating their first songs, and they are both very excited to finally put them out. Thanks for checking us out :)
