I'm Upper Reality and I make beats, and then I sing over them so people don't steal them. My Indie soul sound is a mixture of all the places I've traveled and learned, Dallas neo-soul (where I'm from), Cape Town housey-jazz, and little hints of Brazilian bossa and afrofuturism from Los Angeles (where I'm currently based)--with some nice big bass. My childhood influences shine in my music as well. I'm all about the classics--the Delfonics, the Stylistics, etc. and also the sultry soulful folks such as Sade and Me'shell Ndegeocello. You'll hear that pretty quickly. I've been creating since 2013 and since then pride myself on producing, singing, and songwriting all my music. The journey to now has been intense and beautiful, and my work reflects all my lessons and visions I've had along the way.
