Underground, ανεβαστικός καλλιτέχνης techno
Hailing from Kyiv and based in Berlin, Nastya Vogan works across DJing, composition and sound practice, bringing a formally trained compositional sensibility into club music. One of the first residents of Kyiv’s ∄, she approaches club music less as repertoire than as material: something to be cut, tensioned and rerouted in real time. Her sets favour multi-deck construction, field recordings and fragmented media textures, combining high-pressure rhythmic structures with spatial, suspended passages and a precise sense of tension and release. She appears regularly at Tresor and has returned multiple times to Bassiani and Berghain, alongside appearances at Draaimolen Festival, Montreux Jazz Festival, Audra Festival, CTM Festival, Berlin Atonal, RSO.BERLIN and fabric. Her work remains closely tied to BITE and Standard Deviation. Alongside her club work, Nastya writes and produces music and develops sound work for interdisciplinary projects, including FROLOV’s show directed by Ivan Uryvskyi at ∄. Her broader practice extends through collaborations, educational work and cultural programming, from an electronic mono-opera with Albert van Abbe to sound works for Ceno2 and Beelzebub, as well as Module Exchange in Kyiv, which she co-organises and teaches at.
Nastya Vogan plays high-intensity electronic music, blending industrial techno, EBM, and leftfield sounds with a formally trained compositional sensibility.
