Marta Sánchez is a Spanish jazz pianist and composer based in New York City, acclaimed for her innovative voice and original compositions. Her quintet’s albums Partenika and El Rayo de Luz were named among The New York Times’ “10 Best Albums” lists for 2015 and 2019, earning praise from DownBeat, The Wall Street Journal, NPR and more. Sánchez was honored as a DownBeat Rising Star in 2025, and has received international press acclaim for her ensemble and trio projects.
