Luke Deane

Luke Deane is an experimental composer, vocalist and songwriter, known for his songs and for experimental operas including Book of Premonitions (2025), Song of The Turtle (2024), We Cannot Sleep (2018) and 3 Cars (2015). He is also recognised for his work in dance theatre including collaborations with Club Guy & Roni and director Guy Weizman on productions such as NACHTWACHT (2025), BITCH I'M A GODDESS (2022), BEFORE/AFTER (2021) and SALAM (2019). Luke has a pop-star alter-ego called Lisa who release a debut album in 2021 under the moniker "Lisa and the F.I.X." and currently is the lead vocalist and co-writer of the new pop band NÆT who released their debut album "what's left of me" in 2025. Luke trained with British composers Howard Skempton & Richard Ayres and with UK jazz pianist John Law. His compositional style includes both elements of transparency and irony associated with his mentors, and also a certain emotional drama which he says comes from his earliest years, having been born to stage manager Beverly Newman during the original run of Les Miserables.
