Frank Unzueta Bio 2026 Pianist, composer Frank Unzueta started his newest album project with one goal in mind--- to expand the sound of the jazz trio with orchestral instruments. Frank Unzueta explains, “orchestrating is very exciting because you are presented with an infinite amount of possibilities. It can sometimes be a daunting challenge but always exciting.” Gil Evans’ work with Miles Davis was a big influence on Unzueta’s work, as well as master composers Johannes Brahms, Aaron Copland, and George Gershwin. “I’ve continued the same approach to these new compositions which are melodic simplicity, harmonic variety, and finally—to swing!
