Known for her rich, emotive voice and genre-blending sound—fusing soul, R&B, pop, and jazz—Emilia creates music that feels timeless and real. Inspired by artists like Sade, Joni Mitchell, Cleo Sol, Erykah Badu, and Meshell Ndegeocello, she weaves these soulful influences into songs that are deeply personal and true to her own voice. Raised in a musical family, Emilia began writing songs at 15 and released her self-produced debut album Blue in 2019, which garnered widespread media attention. Following the success of her recent EP Everything I Want—featuring the acclaimed singles Fear and Everything I Want, praised by EARMILK and named Jazz FM’s Song of the Week—she also writes and sings on other artists’ projects, no other than the Creed III movie soundtrack on J. Cole’s Dreamville label, and a recent track for Zacari. She now returns with her new project Purple To Blue, a mid-tempo body of work that explores everything from heartbreak to the love of family. Co-written and co-produced with London luminary producer Femi Temowo (Amy Winehouse), this EP marks a new chapter for Emilia—one defined by emotional honesty, lyrical depth, and a more intimate sonic palette.
