Cumbiatron was an idea made reality by Abel Martinez. Being a musician for many years with other bands he decided to put all his experience and ideas together. The main idea aside from having fun was, to collaborate and record with other artists and fellow musicians original and cover songs with a hint of the Cumbiatron style. With Abel being a bass player himself for many years, he decided he needed a strong foundation and recruited a long time drummer musician friend, Jesus “Bo” Bojorquez. Together they create the acoustic beats to their cumbias and the finishing touches are done in the studio by Abel himself. Cumbiatron is something they like to call “Cumbia Universal” because the idea is to cover all styles of cumbias. An idea they hope will be heard and approved by many all over the world.
