Underground καλλιτέχνης alternative rock
Aqualine are a vibrant Alternative five-piece based in Guildford, melding sounds from Post-punk, hip-hop and Indie rock. Their combined influences from the 90's Shoegaze/Grunge era and the present Crankwave/Alt-rock scene forge an explosive sound that feels refreshing yet oddly familiar. Described by Paris's Supersonics' Block Party Festival as 'Melancholia', Aqualine's music often circles themes of Isolation, self-identity, and mental well-being in young adulthood. They've been rising as an up-and-coming name amongst the Alternative scenes in Brighton and London, recognised for their untameable live angst and raw energy. The group soon approaches their new EP, Tripwire , alongside a headline UK tour in October. Since the band released their debut EP in the summer of 2024, they have done a UK tour, supported Alfie Templeman at the 1865 in Southampton, played shows in France, including Supersonic’s Block Party Festival, and even crossed the chilly Irish Sea to Ireland for the Outside the Box Festival. After being lucky enough to have featured on Steve Lamacq’s show and Melitta Dennett's BBC Live Lounge, the band is gearing up for their next project, Tripwire, and their upcoming UK tour, which promises immersive visuals, EP-inspired artwork, and a powerful live presence.
