Adam ‘Adred’ Baker is a cornerstone of the US drum & bass scene. Cutting his teeth as a promoter for ‘Natural Selection NYC’, he has built a reputation for cultivating the underground sound in the cultural hub of New York City. As a producer, Adred’s multi-faceted approach has landed his music on seminal imprints like Soul:R, 31 Recordings, and Goldie’s legendary Metalheadz. ​His deep, introspective style is heavily inspired by his late father, a musician whose influence and original Fender Rhodes recordings were the driving force behind Adred's acclaimed sixteen-track LP, KIM. That project cemented his status, bringing in heavyweights like DRS, Commix, Robert Manos, and Strategy to highlight his expansive influence within the genre. ​Now, Adred continues to push his organic, musical edge forward with his latest project, the Autotelica EP, out now on Metalheadz. Blending classic jungle breaks with heavy, soundsystem-ready bass, the EP—anchored by the dark and rolling focus track "Kimba"—proves he is still refining the deep, identifiable sound that keeps him at the forefront of the modern drum & bass movement.
