Josh Meader is a 27 year old guitarist from Sydney, Australia. He grew up playing in a family band and was taught by his father and professional musician, Paul Meader from the young age of 7. He fell in love with many styles of music and guitarists over the years, taking inspiration from jazz, fusion, rock, metal and prog. Josh is regarded as a bright young talent of his generation, for his virtuosity in improvisation and composition, as well as his sensitive chord melodies and circular picking techniques. His band, the Josh Meader Trio, features his long time friends and collaborators, Matthew Thomson and Alex Hirlian. Both Australian National Jazz Award winners, that join forces to create a unique sound in the world of jazz/fusion.
