BenArt Ensemble

BenArt Ensemble is a jazz octet based in Paris, led by bassist and producer Benoît Artuphel, with saxophonist Baptiste Herbin. The band draws on a unique blend of jazz and world music influences, traveling from the shores of the Mediterranean to Chicago, passing through sub-Saharan Africa and the Caribbean: an aesthetic full of textures and cultures, carried by vintage sounds. Born from a meeting at the Salon Musicora in 2023, the project now brings together eight high-flying musicians around a repertoire of collective compositions, conceived in a spirit of original creation and strong interaction. BenArt Ensemble has already performed on some of the most important jazz stages in Paris, such as New Morning. Their first album, recorded at Question de Son (Paris) with the participation of baritone saxophonist Céline Bonacina, will be released in September 2026, preceded by three singles: Barsoom (June 25), Miss My Woods (July 16) and Samba sem Saida (August 27).
