Underground, νοσταλγικός καλλιτέχνης blues
With numerous UK Blues Awards nominations to his name, Chris Corcoran is regarded as one of the finest blues guitarists in Great Britain. He is also one of the few fully instrumental British blues acts. Performances with his trio and his six-piece band — drawing on decades of experience in blues clubs across the United Kingdom — are both electrifying and captivating. His last three albums, Blues Guitar Grooves (2017), Coolerator (2020), and Inferno (2021), were all named “Best Instrumental Album” by the influential American website Blues Junction Productions. Chris has performed at countless festivals throughout Europe, including the Lucerne Blues Festival, Jazz Middelheim, and Rhythm & Blues Night Groningen. In October 2025, the band toured the Netherlands and recorded a brand-new album live at Natural Records Studio in Sibculo, under the direction of Bo Brocken and Harm van Essen. The name of the album is ‘The Burner’ and will be released in the autumn of 2026 via For the Road Records. In February 2026 the first single (‘Get Gone’) dropped and on May 8th the 2nd single 'Back Chat' was released.
The Chris Corcoran Band plays instrumental blues, drawing on early swing, jump blues, and R&B guitar styles, recognized by Blues Junction Productions for their albums.
