ZAKK SABBATH are back with an even more massive dose of pure BLACK SABBATH worship! Celebrating more than 50 years of Birmingham's most famous four, the architects of heavy metal are being honored by the preeminent tribute trio led by guitarist and singer Zakk Wylde. If we can't continue to celebrate and hail the ageless power and glory of BLACK SABBATH's debut album, then what exactly is the point of being alive? Cynics may roll their eyes at the notion of Zakk Wylde, Blasko and Joey Castillo joining forces again under the ZAKK SABBATH moniker, simply to re-record "Black Sabbath" in its epoch-shattering entirety, but cynics can fuck off. 8/10 Blabbermouth Depending on your perspective, the re-recording of classic albums by contemporary artists is either a neat way to pay tribute to the greats or an utterly pointless exercise. Fortunately, ZAKK WYLDE has such a natural connection to the original BLACK SABBATH line-up's esteemed catalogue that, frankly, it matters not one tiny fuck if anyone actually needs him to make records like this. But he does, and "Doomed Forever Forever Doomed" is killer, so that pretty much settles it. - Blabbermouth 8/10
