SSIEGE is a portal to a dream world that draws upon a number of recurring themes that follow one another like the change of the seasons, often on the seemingly constant verge of transformation: shyness, memory, adolescence and dreams. His debut album Fading Summer (2019), an album designed to listen to from beginning to end where memories shine through quick-paced rhythms. They progressively merge and vanish, melting away into rich ambient transitions. The inner search passes through Dreamy Pads of Insecurity [BUS, 2020]: a mixtape with notes of nostalgia, filled with cinematic charm, almost a soundtrack fading in twilight. Meteora (Knekelhuis 2021), consists of 5 timeless tracks hatching out of the more introspective dimension of his previous production to evoke a colorful androgynous world where the listener can perceive him/her/themselves at once rooted and fluctuating. With Beautiful Age [Youth 2023] SSIEGE sings an ode to the everlasting spring of youth. The practice of recollection leads him to fathom the fragments of a past in which one can mirror oneself, a past additionally veiled by the spooky halo of dub intrusions encouraging the mind to shift. The therapeutic power of new age ambient is a soft caress healing oneself from the melancholic background of a vast and frail kaleidoscope of emotions. An inner place inhabited by a succession of spirits, memories and visions blending into the ether.
