Mavro Prosopio

Vocals / Rhythm Guitar : Dinos Rallis, Backing Vocals / Lead Guitar : Efstathios Messinis, Drums : Avgoustis Dimitropoulos, Bass : Iason Papadopoulos. Mavro Prosopio is a Greek Rock band formed and based in Patras, heavily influenced by rock & roll, rockabilly, punk and surf rock tunes of the 60s and 70s, and mostly 80s and 90s. The band was first formed, by a bunch of friends and classmates around 95, consisting of Dinos Rallis (vocals / guitar), George Vendras ( lead Guitar), Giorgos Charakidas (drums) and Lakis (bass). Till 1999, Mavro Prosopio had participated in many local gigs, alongside bands such as Chaotiki Diastasi and others, before it disbanded. 18 years later, Christmas time 2017, Dinos and the others, met and decided to re-form the group, with Panayiotis Savvopoulos as the new bassist of the group. Within the next two years, first Giorgos left the band, so Avgoustis, a young-at-heart veteran musician, took band's groove over at drums. Then Panayiotis, in order to turn towards different music genres, introduced his apprentice Iason to join the band. Lastly, George Vendras left and was replaced by Efstathios, a so far involved in many bands guitarist / vocalist, evolving various styles. Since 2019, Mavro Prosopio has released its first EP '20 Xronia Sth ... Mpanta', at Studio Parakrousi, edited and mastered by Dionysus Maratos and already counts tens of gigs in city of Patras.
