Youthie

From the Andalusian sun to the shade of an Indonesian forest, Youthie will take you on a musical roadtrip in her brassy universe to the rhythm of the skanks: an explosive mix of Roots Reggae and World Music! An organic Dub project in which she uses her eclectic musical background, her various instruments (trumpet, flute, accordion, bagpipe) and sources of inspiration: jazz, Latin, Balkan, Oriental, Celtic, Afrobeat... The multi-instrumentalist and composer produces her first album ‘Nomad Skank’ in 2019 on her label "Youthie Records", followed by the double-album ‘The Roots Explorers’ in 2022, and ‘Gecko Tones’ in 2024! She also collaborates with a number of dub producers, including Zulu Vibes, Kino Doscun, and Macca Dread who plays rhythm section on his albums. She performs regularly in concerts, Dub Sessions and festivals, mixing mixes and instrumental performances on stage in France and Europe, including Dubcamp, Hadra, Ozora and Him Dub.
