Mimis Nikolopoulos is a Greek composer, multi-instrumentalist and music producer. His compositions aim to reflect his impressions of serene country roads, stories of unknown heroes and warm childhood memories. He has developed a distinct sound, a result of fusion of his various influences from the world of evocative film music (Ennio Morricone, Alberto Iglesias) the passionate folk-balkan tunes (Goran Bregović), the ethereal middle-eastern jazz (Ibrahim Maalouf) and the nostalgic soundscapes of the legendary Greek composer Manos Hadjidakis. In 2017 he released his debut album "Deviation", to popular and critical acclaim. In 2018 he formed the Mimis Nikolopoulos Band and started to appear live on stage, performing a repertoire of mostly instrumental melodies intertwined with songs from around the world. Collaborations: Sandra Sangiao , Dj Panko, Dimitris Voutsas , Alkyone, Carlos Marquez etc. He is now dedicated to the art of film scoring, while working on his upcoming personal album. New album The Way Back Home is out!
