An underground southern rock artist.
Hey y'all, it's Summer. I grew up barefoot and crazy in North Carolina, and that really set the tone for my southern songwriting and style. As soon as I could play 3 chords on guitar, I was performing on Wednesday nights at my parents restaurant in downtown Fayetteville. I cut my own fingerless gloves so I could busk with my country family band outside in the cold, and took a few trips to Nashville to learn about the music industry. After college at East Carolina University, I moved to Los Angeles, where I dove head first into live music, producing big backyard music festivals with my friends (they were epic, you should've been there). Now, I have a weekly residency playing country music at Seven Grand in Downtown LA, and also host an open mic at The Venice West. I'm currently in the process of releasing my EP, Die Strange in a Small Town, and have worked with my incredible collaborator and producer, Joel Schnapper, to bring the vision to life. I hope to see you at a show one day, and thanks for listening!
