JABiD - جبد Muhammad Mughrabi, aka JABiD, is an independent singer & songwriter born, raised, & based in the notorious Palestinian refugee camp Shuafat, 5 minutes away from Jerusalem's Old City, the Holy Land capital. He started as a rapper during his high school years, later studied arts with a degree as a film & TV director, & while making a living with visual projects, he was experimenting with audio projects as a hobby until he found his very own JABiD sound in the late 2010s, emerging as one of the best-selling artists of all time in the country. His music is inspired by the rich art culture of the Fertile Crescent region; JABiD music sounds like the digital evolution of Middle Eastern folk mixed with hip-hop-inspired vocals.
