James and Archie first crossed paths in their early twenties at a party in Oxford, where they instantly bonded over their shared love for electronic music. Heavily influenced by the 2000s progressive house and liquid drum & bass they grew up listening to, the now London-based duo have spent the last decade honing a sound of their own, blurring the lines between house, techno & progressive. My Friend, as they call themselves, started as a passion project & exploded onto the scene when Danny Howard featured their unsigned and unreleased tracks on Radio 1's 'Future Fire' in 2018. This pivotal moment marked the start of an impressive journey that has seen them tour the globe and release on some of dance music's most respected labels, cementing their status as one of house music’s most exciting rising stars.
