D72 – melodic techno with depth and identity. D72 is the alias of Dirk Wershofen, born in 1972 in Bad Neuenahr, Germany. He first entered the scene in the early ’90s as a DJ and producer, making waves in the growing techno movement. After stepping away from the spotlight for a while, he returned in 2019 – recharged and ready, bringing a signature sound that blends techno, trance, and future rave. His tracks are emotional, energetic, and crafted for both the heart and the dancefloor – earning support from artists like Armin van Buuren, Aly & Fila, Markus Schulz, Solarstone, Paul van Dyk, and many more. D72 has been featured on iconic labels like Armada and Black Hole Recordings, and several of his productions have aired on Armin’s legendary A State of Trance show. On stage, D72 delivers deep, story-driven sets – including standout performances at Nature One, where he left a lasting impression over the past two years.
