An underground vocal jazz artist.
Vocalist, pianist, composer, and music therapist Noa Fort is blurring the lines between written and improvised, group and individual, inner and outer soundscape, giving and receiving; all on the path to healing, with music. Since her arrival in NYC from Tel Aviv in 2013, she has been an active member of the Jazz and improvised music scene. She shared the stage, recorded and collaborated with greats such as William Parker, Mykki Blanco, James Brandon Lewis, Mary Prescott, Dave Torn, Michael Attias, Francisco Mela. Recently regarded as “one of New York’s more interesting and original artists" (New York Music Daily), Fort is also a licensed, board certified music therapist, working with a variety of people with different needs through the use of music.
Noa Fort plays vocal jazz and improvised music, blending written compositions with spontaneous improvisation, as heard on her album "No World Between Us".
