Born in 1999, Italian countertenor Nicolò Balducci is making a significant mark on the international classical music scene. Acclaimed for his “crystalline timbre” and “enviable” vocal agility (Gramophone Magazine), Balducci has won prestigious awards, including 1st Prize at the 2022 Renata Tebaldi Competition and 3rd Prize at Cesti Competition. In the 2024/25 season, his key performances include debuts as Ulisse in Porpora’s Ifigenia in Aulide at Bayreuth Baroque Festival, Arbace in Mozart’s Mitridate at Opéra de Lausanne and Montpellier, and Nerone in Monteverdi’s L’Incoronazione di Poppea with Cappella Mediterranea in France, Canada, and the US. An exclusive BIS Records artist, Balducci’s albums Castrapolis and Amore Dolore were released in 2022 and 2023. His new album Confidenze is out in October 2024.
