With over nineteen years of industry experience, two D&B Arena 'Best Vocalist' awards and multiple other nominations, Riya - real name Laura Hill - is noted as ‘one of the most iconic female vocalists in the [D&B] genre’ (UKF). ​ Riya has released two albums (one of which was backed by the PRS Foundation 'Women Make Music' Fund and released on her own imprint Carnelian Music with Collette Warren), two EPs, and many more singles, collaborating with the best producers in drum and bass including: Etherwood, Roni Size, Hybrid Minds, Technimatic, Monrroe, Whiney, Total Science, Break, Kyrist, Enei, LSB, S.P.Y, Lenzman, dBridge, BCee, DRS, Tali, T.R.A.C and many more. Riya has featured on BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra & 6Music, Apple Music, Beats 1, UKF, Mixmag, Data Transmission, Resident Advisor, DJMag & D&B Arena - and was given a special mention in the seminal 2020 documentary ‘Drum & Bass: The Movement’ for her contribution to the industry. Behind the vocal booth, Riya has won plaudits from peers and ravers alike with her hard hitting and energetic DJ/vocal sets, earning her a D&B Arena awards nomination for ‘Best Live Act’ and opportunities to perform worldwide.
