As an independent artist with seven award-winning, globally-informed, and celebrated albums – he continues to build a veritable superhighway from his east-African roots to the world. His last album, SOUNDS OF PEACE, released in November 2022, explores the traditional musical influences of Mozambique within jazz. The record celebrates the diversity, differences, and similarities among African people effected by the diverse jazz-fuelled sway that permeates its borders. Exposed to and inspired by the likes of Miles Davis, Fela Kuti, Hugh Masekela, Percy Sledge and Manu Dibango, Moreira’s energetic contemporary rhythmic compositions garner ever-rousing applause across all six continents.
